Well as you know, eBay Partner Network, has been through a lot of changes since eBay left Commission Junction. On March 30, 2010, they will release some new enhancements and features to the eBay Partner Network (ePN) interface. Some of the new features include updates to the dashboard, the addition of a new landing page report, a new way to handle archived campaigns, and an overhaul to the Creatives Generator to make it easier to use.

In brief, here are some descriptions of what’s to come.

Dashboard Updates

The dashboard changes or updates are to give you more access to your ePN information more quickly. You will see a new report, quicker access to the blog, and additional date range and program filters.

Changes to the graphs to plot your trends will have some added features that will allow you to change the date range to Last Month, Last 3 Months or Year to Date and change the program filter. TheĀ  settings selected will remain in place so when you go back to your dashboard, you are set.

New Reports on the Dashboard (New)

The new reports which will be on the dashboard will be able to assist you in fine tuning your web traffic. The new Landing Page Report is geared to provide you with a snapshot of your traffic based on landing page types. These landing page types include the Home Page, Search Results, Seller/Store Results, Item Page and Other. Initially, this report will provide you information based on “Last Week” or “Last Month” totals.

Deactivating Campaigns (new)

For some reason, many ePN affiliates wanted the ability to deactivate campaigns but with the old system, deactivated/archived campaigns were almost deactivated. Meaning, that the campaign was de-listed from your active campaigns list but commissions and QCP calculations were still going against it. Now with the new system, eBay obliged with this request so now once the campaign is deactivated, no commissions or anything else will go against that campaign.
To be a smart butt: Why wouldn’t eBay accept this request? If you deactivate a good campaign by mistake, oh well. eBay will get all of the profits from the sell.

Unfortunately when this new feature starts on March 30th, you will no longer be able to archive campaigns. All of your previously archived campaigns will return to an active status of which you can choose to either permanently deactivate these campaigns, or keep them active.
